About me
I am a Sri Lankan photojournalist I came to Melbourne on 1 June 2000.
My hobbies are photography, life drawing, painting, traveling, reading, and cooking.
When I was in Sri Lanka I studied photography(UNESCO) and TV/film production OFFICE CATHOLIQUE INTERNATIONALE DU CINEMA (COIC)
First aid with the SRI LANKA RED CROSS SOCIETY and martial arts ALL CEYLON KARATE ASSOCIATION (ACKA)
I covered two international conferences: One with the Commonwealth Parliaments Association; One of my own photos was published on the front cover of THE PARLIAMENTARIAN, Journal of the Parliament of the Commonwealth, January 1996, LXXVII No1.
I received a thank you letter from the British Prime minister the Hon. Margaret Thatcher, and another from the Commonwealth Parliament Association S/G the Hon David Tonkin.
when I first came to Australia, I acquired a food handler's certificate, and a certificate in basic computer skills. I did a very short course in Footscray Art Center (10 weeks) in life drawing. I learnd more drawing and did over 30 picture there
Now i am a studying multimedia and web design, two subjects that interest me very much.
And I hope my RMIT studies will also be completed successfully in the future.
This journal published the Commonwealth summit held in Sri Lanka ,1996. it was printed in London and I had the opportunity of seeing my photo used for the front cover. This magazine was distributed in every Commonwealth country.

British Prime Minister Hon. Margaret Thatcher, asked me for some photographs I took of her in Sri Lanka. She sent me this letter of thanks.
House of Commons: The Hon. Speaker Betty Booth and the first woman Prime Ministerin the world, the Hon. Srimavo Bandarnayake. This was the only existing photograph of them at that time.
