Wolf Wolfensberger was the founder of the Citizen Advocacy.

Wolf Wolfensberger was born in 1934 Germany, Mannheim.

At the age of 16, he emigrated to the U.S.A in 1950. In Memphis he had studied Philosophy at Memphis, Siena College.


Also he received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at St. Louis University and a PhD in special Psychology. He also has Psychiatric medicine mental retardation research, in Toronto Canada.


Wolf Wolfensberger has developed the program Citizen Advocacy, by having an Advocate and their Protégé matched.
He has given the protégé a life in the community by giving them a voice.
